    Solid product that needs some graphics tweaking to be more useful

    I've always loved Stanley tools quality and craftsmanship. Last tape measure lasted 40 years. Now this one leaves me disappointed with very poorly designed type and graphics that have hard to discern foot mark highlights. Wish it had larger/bold type or arrows or something that denotes each foot. The body is too wide for my liking and takes up too much room in a tool pouch but makes it nice to handle. Perhaps they are thinking it is less likely to tip over in use. I used the belt clip feature, it fell off then toppled off the roof, it survived. Good quality with slightly thicker tape. The photo compares the Stanley (top) with a Pittsburgh brand. Both have 16" (stud) highlights but using different highlight methods. The Pittsburgh foot marking are very easy to notice.

    very good for homeowners and entry level users

    good for people that want to see the actual fraction numbers. but not so good for others who already know sixteenths, eighths, and so on. for more knowledgeable ones the numbers only clutter a good measuring tape.

    This level is my pre-retirement gift to myself, 30+ years in the trade and this is my second level that I have purchased l love the hi lighter color in the bubble, very easy to read compared to my old one. And I believe that this one to will last for years to come, even though I will be Probly using it only for the next 5 before my retirement so I'm pleased with my purchase.

    More exact and readable tape measure.

    A better than average tape measure with all the additional incremental numbers. It really helps you quickly see the exact measurement down to the 1/8 th inch every time.
