One stop shop
I got fed up of having to load speakers, amplifier, leads and all the flaf setting up. I only use a pa for quiz nights and digital indoor horse races so only need back ground music, mic and the commentary from the races from a lap top. The QTX 12 seems to work very well and should be loud enough as only tried indoors and my first gig with it is in a few weeks! Love that that it has a top hat fitting which was a bonus and of course I can run it from the battery so another lead and plug socket I don’t have to worry about. So, the only slight downside that I have, is that you can only have either Bluetooth or phono on. My lap top plays the races so the lead goes to the phono on the QTX and I normally have the back ground music on until I play the races snd stop start from the iPod and ... I’m sure you might get used to knowing how many clicks to do! To get round this slight issue I purchased a 3 into 1 phono box and put the lap top and an iPod into this and then just one phone lead out to the QTX. So now have control of starting the races and stopping the music and vice versa from the switch box! (When I do quiz nights I can use the Bluetooth and the mics) So basically all I have now is the QTX12 and one phono lead to it! Should save lots of set up time and a lot less gear to transport! I first saw the QTX on holiday where the animation team used one for around the swimming pool for water aerobics and that’s where the idea came from. I spoke to the team and they gave me the details and followed this up when home. If it’s loud enough for an outdoor aerobics session it will be fine in a small hall! Hope this helps?
