    A LOT of bang for your buck!

    I got this lens yesterday and have been just snapping things here and there. I have used it mainly to take pictures of my aquarium fish. It seems to take great pictures so far. It is the perfect focal length of the type of pictures I take. The f2.8 is bright enough for me and does a great job of blurring the background. The build quality seems on par with my Panasonic made lenses. It somewhat rattles if you shake it, but I have read this is normal for this and other Sigma lenses. Im using it with a GF3 and have not experienced any issues with the camera recognizing this lens. ITs a tad larger than I expected, but it still beats the kit lens my camera came with. Its a great price and I would definitely recommend it to a friend.

    Real bang for the buck.

    I love this lens. You get great side to side sharpness. Focus is fast and accurate. Colors and contrast is as good as it gets. On the M4/3 you won't get any fall off on the edges (vignetting) as reported by some NEX users. This is a great lens for the money. For me, 50mm is ideal, but at 60mm (effective length) it isn't that much different. Portraits look real good. I would suggest getting a cheap hood to protect the front element and protect from flair.

    Great starter prime

    This is my first step into prime lenses and I'm impressed. Very sharp image quality. Great bokeh. Not as wide as I thought, but that's just from my inexperience with prime lenses. Great image quality and bang for your buck for sure! The rattling that you hear goes away once you turn on your camera, I wouldn't even worry about that for a second. I really like the ridged focus ring too.
