    Excellent for Making Freedom Pills

    These new Lee moulds are excellent. Once you "smoke" them, they are ready to heat and start casting quality bullets. The shallow tumble lube grooves are the way to go if you are using liquid Alox or similar types of tumble varnish bullet lube. The first batch of bullets cast was using a very soft lead alloy and threw nicely formed bullets that averaged around 128 grains. Very satisfied with this mould. Remember though, if melting lead you need to take precautions against lead exposure and hot metal. Wear protective gloves, apron, face shield, and use a respirator with filters made for lead protection. Clean up your work area and always wash up thoroughly after casting.

    lousey accuracy

    Slugging the barrel on my 9mm eaa witness elite match pistol resulted in .3555". I then cast bullets from wheel weights in this mold, sized to .357" and tumble lubed with liquid alox. Accuracy was horrid, lots of key holes. you'd think i was shooting a scatter-gun. I suspect the front band on the bullet is way to narrow to allow the bullet to stabilize.

    Good bullets at minimal cost

    Good bullet casting mold for the budget minded. Very easy to make usable bullets with this particular mold. I cleaned with a little lighter fluid , lubed the alignment pins with a little beeswax , and smoked the bullet cavities with a wooden match as per instructions. The aluminum mold came up to temperature quickly by floating the mold on my pot of molten lead. Cast 400 slugs in the first go around with about 20 being rejected due to operator error, not the molds fault. Keep an eye on the sprue plate tightness to avoid smearing bullet bases and you will make good bullets every casting session.

    Good mold - bullets designed for tumble lube

    Another quality product from Lee. Casting 2 bullets at a time sounds like it would take a long time, but it goes quicker than you think once the mold is up to temp. knocked out 500 pretty quick. No issues at all.
