Reviews
8 (out of 10) - "...The measure of The Who's greatness was how...they were still punk to the core....Here we have The Who at their churning peak, struggling to reconcile grandiose ambition with the most basic rock'n'roll impulse of all: to destroy...", 4 Stars - Excellent - "...Digitally remastered, this set includes all their hit singles from 1965-1981....one of the few bands able to reproduce the barbiturate rush of their live performance on record."

    Wow - Who'se Greatest?

What a fantastic CD and to have all their hits on one is absolutely fab. Our favourite band. Can't fault it.

  • Most critical review

    Who's engineered !

The cd plays fine, but certain tracks have been re mastered to their detrament, particularly I'm a boy which for some reason has toned down Keith moons drum sound , which spoils it for me! Pete townsend s input no doubt? Original is better.

  • Not the best of

Not the best quality sound recording or track selection. I had the "The Story of the Who" on vinyl in the seventies which I remembered had a more complete track selection and sounded better. I wish I'd made a CD copy of it now. Enjoyed Baba O'Riley and Boris the spider always makes me laugh. Track "5.15" I hadn't heard before but also enjoyed.
