"[A] wise and inspiring autobiography--Walton tells his quietly fantastic story with conviction and makes no bones about his mistakes." -- San Francisco Chronicle "It's a story about entrepreneurship, and risk, and hard work, and knowing where you want to go and being willing to do what it takes to get there.  And it's a story about believing in your idea even when maybe some other folks don't, and about sticking to your guns." -- Sam Walton "Here is an extraordinary success story about a man whose empire was built not with smoke and mirrors, but with good old-fashioned elbow grease." -- Detroit Free Press "A sure-fire all-American success story." -- The New York Times Book Review

It's difficult to gage the actual condition of a magazine when the seller uses the automatic description ai from ebay. But the one word of 'good' was kind of fitting. And I usually don't buy from sellers that charge such high prices for shipping but the price on the magazine was great, I couldn't pass it up. The seller shipped quickly, but the magazine wasn't supported at all in the packaging. The magazine probably suffered some minimal damage in addition to what was there. I can fix it though

Game arrived quickly. Unfortunately it has a very bad scratch and is unplayable. Seller promptly issued a refund. Seller was nice and understanding. If disc was playable I certainly would have left 5 star feedback. Hope to do business with her again.

  • I can't put it down

In very simple terms and examples, Sam Walton shares the very simple, complex, gritty way that he and so many loyal, committed, relentless partners and team members built the retail giant, Wal-Mart. Amazingly, the narration with inserts from actual people who participated in the journey made it real, made it genuine, made you cheer for Wal-Mart. I wanted him to WIN - even though I knew how the story ends. For all entrepreneurial spirits, this is a must read.
