Choose from eight different fighters, each with their own "spirit animal" to defeat all other fighters and a final boss in Bloody Roar, a hand-to-hand combat game in the same vein as Tekken and Virtua Fighter. Characters have special moves for inflicting damage, and can transform into spirit animals by punching or kicking their opponent. Instant replays highlight the punch or kick that ended the preceding round. Blood is evident in Bloody Roar, but not in the same graphic fashion as the Mortal Kombat series.

    BLOODY ROAR

    Cover artwork draws you in while the grafix have polygon greatness. The stage cages are destructable once you put your opponent through them. I really like the mechanics of changing into your beast. Getting your special moves precisely pulled off is easy. Your combos may take some time. The music gets you in the mood for battles while the sound efx will have you feeling how powerfull your character is. I highly recommend this oldie but goodie.

    Actually, graphics are ok, gameplay is so so and good value? It wasn't too bad considering I see this game usually on the 40 dollar range.. I haven't played it yet but i mostly got it for my collection..
