compact and light phone + great camera + timely Android upgrades and updates for 3+ years - no brainer!
One of the few good compact and light mid range phones out there, the camera set is still one of the best, if not the best at that price point. Having the assurance that Google will provide upgrades to Android 12, 13 and 14 as soon as they are available + timely security updates for 3+ years is maybe the biggest differentiator with other brands out there. Most cheaper chinese brands provide you 1 Android upgrade and 2 year of updates at most if you are lucky, that make them expensive toys in my opinion, I normally keep my phones for 4 years at least and I don't want security to be optional. So, looking at the cost per year, this is in fact cheap. Finally, stock Android is better optimized than many other badly implemented versions of Android installed on many other phones.One of the few good compact and light mid range phones out there, the camera set is still one of the best, if not the best at that price point. Google pixel 5 - highly recommend
Love this phone, moved from Sony Xperia phones I had for many years to Google Pixel and I'm not looking back. Battery life is great, camera despite low pixels makes great pictures, it was amazingly easy and fast to transfer all data from my old phone. The size is great, as the most of the new phones are huge so for me having a normal size phone is a win. I highly recommend. A great phone at a great price point.
The battery is excellent, and the performance is brilliant thanks to it not having any of the additional bloat wear that comes preloaded on other android brands. I upgraded from a Pixel 2XL so the phone is probably a little smaller than I would have liked, but with a good case on it, I am adjusting to it. The camera is great but that's really down to the software as it's pretty much identical to the hardware found in my much older Pixel 2XL. I would thoroughly recommend buying on, or even the 5A as it's a lot of phone for the money. Almost perfect
Great phone, if not almost perfect midranger. This phone is perfect size and also quite light so one handed use is possible. Great battery life, does full day with 6-7h screen time. Great camera if not anything special if coming from Pixel family. Only let down is the speaker phone which is just barely usable. So this phone does everything great but making calls, which is ironic since its a mobile phone. If you dont make to many phonecalls then by all means buy it now otherwise wait for the next iteration. Untouchable for photography
I've had the last 5 versions of Galaxy phone. Funnily enough the phone I had before that was the Google Nexus and I've never been more content with a phone... Until now. This is not the best phone, but it's the best phone for me. Size, battery life and camera all knock Samsung out the park and I was a smug "Samsung has the best camera" guy for years.
