I’m an electrician and have had at least 15 different types of these over the years. These last longest. Nice feature is it uses regular AAA batteries. I was trying to replace one that I lost. I watched a youtube video describing the milwaukee non contact voltage tester. The presenter said it was made in the USA. That tester had a flashlight and the audible sound was very loud. I didnt need the flashlight so I thought I would save a few bucks and bought 2 pack. One for my son in law. As soon as it arrived I seen on package, made in China. I am a professional electrician and I will not do without a tick tester. I like this one for its slim style, reliability and best of all the placement of the switch ON TOP. Great tool to keep from getting bit!
So as an HVAC tech I am around power all day, every day. Sometimes you just want to know if there’s power or not and if the switches are wired correctly. Well I don’t need to pull out the meter and check actual voltage to just see if it’s hot or not.
