    great comedy that is decent.

    we have watched this series on pbs for a number of years and have always enjoyed the low key comedy of the British. it is clean, upbeat, decent, believeable and so well acted you are never disappointed. i love the actors, Judi Dench and Geoffrey Palmer and they fit together so well. love it, love it, love it.

    Buy the original DVD set of As Time Goes By, not the remastered.

    As Time Goes By is a wonderful series, but do yourself a favor and buy the original DVD set, and not this remastered one. The quality of the picture is very poor and fuzzy. One of my discs made a terrible noise in the player and wouldn't play at all. In contrast, I saw the original set at a friend's, and the quality was very good and clear. Having unfortunately purchased the remastered set, I'm basically planning to throw it away and buy the original.

    If you've ever had the opportunity to see any episodes of this wonderful British comedy, then you probably wished you could see it all the way through, from beginning to end. That's what my wife and I are doing, and it's just great. Compared to other DVD sets of other shows, this is a steal ! Nicely packaged too.

    Normal aging couple and family fun, full of silliness and strange situations.

    I thoroughly enjoy British dry humor, and both stars are perfect in their delivery. A very well written series in which the characters grows well through the years with interesting and funny family and friends.

    Love my Brit Coms!!

    As always Judy Dench is amazing in any role she takes on and this classic Brit Com is a delight! You will laugh out loud at Lionel and Jean and their relationship which includes their daughter, secretary and agent. Many hours of funny situations!

    Love it!

    We fell in love with this series on PBS but couldn’t see all episodes. We’re happy to have them all now. Some people complain about picture quality but we think it’s fine. It’s an older series. Can’t expect perfection there. It’s light and fun.
