    Blink outdoor camera.

    I purchased this camera for my back garden. It was easy to install and set up. There is a slight lag with recording of a couple of seconds but overall and in this price bracket I am impressed. I particularly like the feature of footage being saved onto an sd card and can be downloaded instead of a cloud based subscription via the sync module 2 hub. The daytime and nightime images are of a good quality. The blink app allows me to receive notifications, live view, save recordings, talk, arm and disarm the system, monitor battery usage and more. I will not hesitate to purchase more blink add on cameras in the future as I can now use blink indoor cameras with this system.

    Disappointed

    Not impressed with the night vision. I got this to video the hedgehogs in my garden, but I don't think the picture is good quality. So disappointed. Daytime great!! But not what I bought it for

    good clear images .. needs a better secure mount.

    took a 2 hours to configure despite youtube videos and my expectations of setting up within 30mins. Issues ref connecting and scanning QR codes- ambiguity ref which QR code to scan first/ second.. It is a good product with clear images - let down by the quality of the mounting bracket. I assume it is a marketing ploy to get customers to purchase additional, better spec brackets. Shame there is no secure bracket or housing for external use albeit third party brackets out there. I purchased a small lockable cash tin off ebay and adapted it to secure the camera outside as it was in a porch and accessible t be stolen. The item is costly but R&D appreciated.

    Simple to install

    Out of the box, looks and feels well made. Set up is easy and install simple, with the system up and running in less than 30 minutes (including mounting on garage wall). Camera is on the limit of its range to the hub at about 25-30 feet and can drop signal in extreme weather. Settings haven’t been adjusted much but it was easy to do. Biggest design fault for me is the push clip feature on connection to wall bracket, not really a high security feature. Personally I’d prefer a more secure way to fix the camera to the bracket
