The metal tray is perfect, and I popped a towel between the cage and tray so it would be quiet when the dog moved around. The only negative I would have is the door is a bit flimsy, and there are no hoods on the slide bolts, so they could come undone if the door is rattled enough.

Put together ok other than the front door is a little stiff, perhaps a little warped?? That is the only slight issue but other than that, very happy with the crate and would recommend.
