I really like the Uni Kuru Toga, and coming from an admitted mechanical pencil junkie that's saying something! I found it to be well balanced with enough weight to be of substance, but not heavy. The knurled metal grip area is a larger diameter than the body of the pencil and makes it very comfortable in the hand for extended writing, sketching, or note-taking. If you're a draftsman you'll appreciate the rotating lead feature, as it really does generate a conic point for consistent line widths. Also the small diameter eraser allows precise erasures for those little oops! corrections. I'm finding this to be a go-to pencil in my collection, and a fine writing instrument.

The grip is amazing. The fine cross-engraving on the barrel makes your fingers stick like glue. You can just barely feel the mechanism rotating the lead as you write but it never affects the feel as you write. It's lightweight on the back end with most of the weight at the grip, just as it should be. Highly recommended!

Very good quality and price for a mechanical pencil. The rotation of the lead keeps the edge from sloping and maintains a steady cone tip. At first the turning may prove a bit weird when writing at great speed, as it may slide a bit, but the marks are more uniform. In my opinion I click more often on this one to extend more lead, probably because the feed is shorter. It may be better fro sketching than writing, but depends on style and habit. Give it a try!

Quality product, fits well in the hand! As someone who sketches a lot, comfortable grip is important to me. Not too heavy nor too light, just the perfect weight for my hand! 10/10 recommended for artists, engineers, architects, or just people who like good mechanical pencils.

This pencil does everything it suppose to do - it is made from firm material, it sits well in your hand (personally, I would like it to bi thicker in the bottom, but that's because of my writing style), and the turning mechanism works as intended. It is heavy enough to give you a feel that you really are holding something and not thin air, but not too heavy to cause you discomfort. Personally I don't see any flaws with this pen and will continue to use it for a long time.
