After years of dragging the hose around the brickwork at the corner of the house and getting it jammed under the garden gate when watering the front garden I saw this product . What a difference these made ,I purchased two and now I can drag the hose effortlessly around the outside of the house without it getting jammed or kinked . Easy to fit and seems sturdy enough but I haven't had them long enough to evaluate properly.

This is the Silverline copy of the Hoselock hose guide. Its probably OK to mount flat on a wall, but if you want to mount on a corner, be aware of two things: 1) the "V" which is supposed to fit around the corner of the wall it very poorly designed. Whilst the edges (i.e. top and bottom of the wall edge are designed at right angles, the moulding in the middle of the "V" has cross-bracing that interferes with the wall edge. The grey plastic behind the green roller closest to the corner has to be cut away to make it actually fit on a corner. The manufacturer has clearly never actually tried to fit this to a wall corner; unbelievable. 2) the holes designed to allow screws to hold it to the corner of a wall are not at 45 degrees to the plane of the rollers (or to put it another way, they're not at right angles to the wall). They are angled slightly in towards the corner of the wall. You can still fit it, but its not as easy to get the holes to align properly. If you have a sharp knife or chisle, and are good at "making it fit", then this is a bargain. If you want an easy life, pay the extra and get the Hoselock original.Read full review
