    Breakfast Hound

    I love to cook, but I especially love to cook breakfast. Over the years, I have experimented with prepackaged seasoning mixes for a variety of breakfast sausage blends and although I have found a few that are pretty good, most all of them have too much salt. The Sausage and Jerky Handbook has some great pan sausage recipes and since you are putting the ingredients in the mix, you can alter any ingredient to suit your particular palate. As a hunter, I am always experimenting with Jerky. The handbook has a lot of great formulas and some great tips on handling raw meats. A must have for hobby meat curers and the survivalists out there.

  • If your novice to making sausage or jerky, start here.

    If you are a beginner (like me), this publication is written in simple easy to read instructions. I have a couple of larger sausage making books and they are somewhat lenghty to read and combursome on my brain. But this publication, has made more sense to me than the others. It is a great primer, before I attempt to go back to the other books. Simple explainations, easy defintions and recipes that make sense. Although I have not tried any of them yet, I will turn to these before I attempt any of the others.
