I had accidentally broken the tone arm rest on one of my black technics 1200 turntables when I was moving things around in my studio. I was thinking it was going to be an expensive, hard to find part & expensive repair and I didn’t want to try and glue the broken part. Luckily the original Panasonic part was available and very affordable! To replace the part you need to unscrew / loosen a small Phillip’s head screw underneath. It helps to raise the rubber tone arm dial to the highest setting to allow more room to access hidden screw. You will need a small Phillips drill bit and pliers or a small angled Phillip’s screwdriver. You have about an inch clearance so I used a Phillip’s drill bit to hold the screw in place underneath and unscrewed the broken arm rest with my other hand using my fingers. Then I simply hand screwed the new OE arm rest part while keeping the screw underneath in place. There are no instructions Included with part BUT there are instructional videos on YouTube. The whole repair only took a few minutes. No need to take your turntable to the repair shop! Read full review

i was aware that this prouduct wasnt meant for my technics sl1900 vintage turn table but had to make an attempt to repair my arm rest because eventually it will distroy my new autotechnica auv 4000 but with a little injenewity it worked and great prouduct technics shold repraduce arm rests for sl1900 seies and dust covers too please

Right party and arrived on time. The only thing that would make it better was if it came with a curved arm screwdriver, since these things are so pain to install. But that has nothing to do with the quality of the replacement part.
