Call it a Rotor, a cable detangler, a gyro or whatever you want to. I believe it was Bob Haro who came up with the 1st one back in the 1970's. It was probably the spark that really set off the freestyle explosion back then. Since then there have been many companies producing different versions trying to make it better. I've installed quite a few of them at our family bike shop. It is my opinion though that the Odyssey gyro is the best of them all. The 5 cable, adjusting barrels make for easy fine tuning of all the quality cables. This giving you the ability to dial it in perfectly, while avoiding that rocking up and down of your rotor as you spin your bars round and around. The chrome plating and painted parts are all well finished. The only complaint I could see someone having with it is, it takes an experienced bicycle mechanic, with the proper tools to install it. This is a very technical component however, and for the hard-core freestyle enthusiasts, that shouldn't be a surprise..Read full review
