Perfect lightweight but heavy duty fusable stabiliser!
I used this when making a large knitting bag for my mom. I haven't used any kind of stabiliser before so was totally new to this and have nothing to compare it to, but this was absolutely perfect. You can easily mark lines on it, it cuts like a dream, and fuses very well under an iron. I stuck this to heavy upholstery type fabric, and the weight seemed perfect for this project. Sewing it was no problem at all, when joining pieces together in a seam, in the corners I was sometimes going through three layers of this and six layers of the canvas type fabric and my sewing machine didn't act up at all, it's so soft and flattens down well despite being about 5mm thick that it was just perfect. It does stand up REALLY well, but it's not stiff, it just kind of flops inwards if you put pressure ... I used this when making a large knitting bag for my mom. Great for making bags with and giving structure to fabric
This stabiliser is amazing! I use it to make quilted bags; they stand up up their own (they flop when using normal batting), the foam is lightweight and easily compresses, so you can sew 2 or 3 layers together with no problems, and you don't need to use a walking foot with it! Easy to cut and iron on (a must for the fabric not to move during the quilting process!). I highly recommend this product.This stabiliser is amazing!
