The lamp clips on a shelf above my desk, the shelf is 14mm (~5/8") thick, the flexible arm lets me use it with the LEDS pointing downwards or upwards so I can use it as an uplighter as well. The inline controls let you change intensity and colours, cold white, warmer and sort of light yellow. Really nice lamp.
