the feeder seams well made the only problem i had was how to dismantle it for cleaning as there was no instructions but it didnt take to long to work out the top is fixed via a bayonet fitting which you just twist off.

Lids are not very secure
I have 4 of these feeders in my garden. They have 2 lids, a large lower lid and a small top lid both of which fix into place with bayonet style fittings (like a light bulb). They’re fiddly to close and even when closed they don’t feel very secure and move around. I’ve lost count of the number of times I’ve filled a feeder, put the lid on, lifted it up by the hanger only for the lower lid to come off, spilling bird food all over the floor. I eventually solved the problem by gluing the lower lids into place. I fill them up using the top lid only. They are great looking feeders and are the only ones that beat the crows in my garden who were very persistent. Having bought and tried regular feeders and standard squirrel proof feeders, I wish I’d bought these ones from the outset. It would have ... I have 4 of these feeders in my garden. Such a disappointment!
Bought two at the end of December. Initially I was quite impressed and it has certainly deterred the squirrels. BUT - it is a nightmare to refill. I managed the first couple of times after a bit of a struggle but the lids are so badly designed. The lugs are inadequate and some bright spark designed them so that the closing and opening directions are opposed so that tightening the lid one opens the other large one. They are difficult to seat as well being perhaps too small I think. I spent nearly an hour this morning trying to secure the lids on one of them after refilling and I have now given up so that the birds are missing out - although I did eventually manage to do the first one. The second will have to be scrapped if I can't close it. I'm so disappointed but I bought it to ... Bought two at the end of December. Tufty thwarted for the time.
This bird feeder has, so far. proved "squirrel proof" they did manage to breach the feeder once by destroying the hanging rope and allowing the feeder to fall and sadly the lid came of. Since replacing the rope with a stainless steel chain the little (insert blaspheme or swear word of choice) have failed. I did not recommend the feeder as I have no intelligence and capabilities of the rodents in your area but here in the West country the ******* are loosing and unless one receives a cordless angle grinder for Christmas, will continue to fail I fervently hope.This bird feeder has, so far. proved "squirrel proof" they did manage to breach the feeder once by destroying the hanging rope and allowing the feeder to fall and sadly the lid came of. Great for deterring squirrels but impossible to clean
The feeders are great for deterring squirrels and easy to fill but almost impossible to keep clean. There are no instructions in the box and no obvious way of taking them apart to clean them thoroughly. It rather defeats the purpose of feeding the birds when offering food in dirty containers that can spread fatal disease and really renders them not fit for purpose. I have had to resort to soaking them in warm soapy water and have used a bottle brush to get as much of the bird food deposits from the inside but there is an area at the bottom obstructed by the plastic food dispenser tubes which is impossible to reach. The feeders are great for deterring squirrels and easy to fill but almost impossible to keep clean. Yer gets what yer pays for.
The squirrels used to chew through the wire mesh on my old feeder allowing the magpies etc to empty it in a couple of days. This quality feeder only lets the smaller birds in. The big lid also keeps the rain off the peanuts so they keep longer.
