    Great piece of kit; use the smartphone app to maximise capabilities

    Easy to use to extend an existing Devolo power line network. Recent firmware updates include a mesh wifi mode… so I’m not quite sure why people are selling these “due to upgrading to a mesh network” but that’s fine for me as these are fast products which you can get relatively cheaply on eBay now. With one in each room I’m finding speeds over wifi are reaching 30Mbps which is the same as my router anyway. TOP TIP: The new smartphone app “Devolo Home Network” is far better than “Devolo Cockpit” which is horrendously outdated but all the support pages still point you at. Turn on advanced mode to see up/down speeds from each router.

    Quality Well Made & Reliable Wi-Fi Powerline

    I’ve used Devolo powerline products for several years & have always found them to be well made & very reliable, a real fit & forget product. The AC1200 is straightforward & quick to set up, particularly if you also use the WPS button on your router & gives a very good additional range to your existing powerline network. They are more expensive than other similar devices, but they do last & always work well. There’s also an app you can download to set-up & monitor your powerline network. Just follow the included instructions & you’ll be up & running very quickly.

    Devolo dlan
