Works well for setting bevels on straight razors, but I now favor the Shapton 2000
The good is that it works very well for setting bevels on straight razors. Some innocuous fissures appeared 8 months into ownership, but they didn't seem to make the stone stop working. This stone has been sidelined by the Shapton Professional 2000.

States no stand in the item description
It’s a chosera 1k so it is a solid stone but it heavily glued to a plastic stand. In the item description it states no stand and I even contacted them about this discrepancy but they never bothered to respond. With elbow grease I was able get the stone off the base and eventually lap all the glue off the bottom of it but has I known this I wouldn’t have purchased in the first place.
