You would have to research yourself, unlike rechargeable batteries, mAh are not stated so comparisons are difficult. Deep dives into makers websites will find the mWh but, makers seem to prefer their Ultra, Double and Longer Lasting descriptions. Beware quite often they compare to Zinc Chloride (really lowcapacity/old tech) in the small print. Varta just state Alkaline and it is easy to find full info on their website Have look and I think you will be surprised

Good value!
These are good quality batteries, at a reasonable price, and will definately outlast standard zinc carbon " heavy duty" types. Not sure, yet, if they will also outlast standard alkaline.

Varta’s always a good choice
Although a less common brand, I always find Varta batteries good and can be found at a great price if you look around. They’re also made in Germany so I think the environmental standards in the factory are going to be much higher than compared to junk batteries made in the Far East.

An Absolutely Brilliant make of Batteries
Excellent, I placed these batteries in the fairy lights, I forgot to turn them off (they had been on approx 14 hours outside ) and they were still burning bright. This is now the 4th night and they are still going strong, normally I would be changing other makes of batteries. In fact I would say they are better than Duracell. This is the first time I had purchased Varta Batteries however, I will be certainly be buying again. They are brilliant, I definitely recommend this make of battery for long lasting performance,Excellent, I placed these batteries in the fairy lights, I forgot to turn them off (they had been on approx 14 hours outside ) and they were still burning bright. A good, old manufacturer
Varta have been around for years. I find their batteries as good as, and as long lasting as any other premium brand, but at a lower cost.

The Last Battery.
I bought some batteries at a shop (They were the Varta brand,) they were very good at lasting, so wanted some in a larger quantity looked online found these on ebay and most importantly worked out at a much cheaper price, so this is where I will be purchasing them in the future. Thank you.
