      Great independent film!

      Was very happy with the video quality of this DVD especially because the original movie was only available on VHS. Not blurry or poor quality like lots of VHS copies. Well worth the price. Very slow shipping from China. Worth the wait. I loved this movie when it came out. Now 30 years later, it’s still just as good! Truly heartfelt performances that make you think about your heritage, whether you are Native American or not. Filbert is such a beautiful soul! You can’t watch this without feeling your soul touched.

      Pow Wow Highway

      Classic road trip movie with a Native American theme. Gary Farmer shines as Philbert Bono the gentle giant with a pure spiritual heart. He teaches his old school friend Buddy Redbow, played by A. Martinez, that sometimes fighting for the right thing can also carry you away from the heartplace that started the fight in the first place. One of the first films to depict the struggle of native americans to break sterotypes and still remain connected to traditional beliefs. The film is around 15 years young and though the acting and storyline are timeless, the dialogue and production do not hold up as well. It will make you cry and make you cheer. Well worth the ride and a must for anyone collecting 1st American film. Great cameo by ledgendary actor Graham Greene is worth watching the whole ...

      Powwow Highway is a classic and beloved film in Indian Country. It's a road trip movie. It features early performances from Gary Farmer (Smoke Signals, Dead Man) and Academy Award winner Wes Studi.
