It’s very helpful for kids year 5 onward to improve English writing skills. I like this book. Paper quality and book size is very good . One I bought for my friend and she extremely liked it. It’s wonderful book with variety of sentences and words that are structured beautifully with topics. If child is going to set a snow scene, it gives him all relevant vocabulary under snow title. So I recommend to all who have enthusiastic and learner to use ambitious vocabulary.It’s very helpful for kids year 5 onward to improve English writing skills. I like this book. A nice reference book, good for tutors.
This is a very goood reference book, and quite useful to the teachers. Not sure if the children can use on their own, unless they are well trained to use reference books. A bit pricey but the binding quality is good. Not exactly what I'd expected, but not too bad either. So not sure what rating to give, but I guess would be well-used in the secondary school years.

Outstanding timesaver and everything you need!
Never heard of these until I attended a recent literacy course. Blown away with its content... will be so helpful when teaching English. All perfectly categorised and easy to find; guidance on how to use and ideas of games too - all to promote new and innovative vocabulary to children. Many of the words, some children might never hear. Whereas now they are right in front of them, they have a chance at discussing them in contexts, experimenting with in sentences and developing as an ‘oracy’ mogul!Never heard of these until I attended a recent literacy course. Worth the price
I would say that this is an expensive resource for a teacher - especially as you have to buy most things yourself. But from having a brief glance at it, I believe that it will be very useful and will help dramatically improve sentence structure and vocabulary just by exposing them to alternatives. It's almost like a thesaurus but the layout will be of huge help to my year 4 children

Good for kids creative writing
Daughters teacher recommended it, great for creative writing and good for children nowadays who not only have to write a good story but know the rules regarding writing ie pronouns, adverbs, etc etc and the fact that they seem to have to use these in their writing
