About this product

Product Information

"Who is John Galt?" is the immortal question posed at the beginning of Ayn Rand's masterpiece. The answer is the astonishing story of a man who said he would stop the motor of the world'and did. As passionate as it is profound, "Atlas Shrugged" is one of the most influential novels of our time. In it, Rand dramatizes the main tenets of Objectivism, her philosophy of rational selfishness. She explores the ramifications of her radical thinking in a world that penalizes human intelligence and integrity. Part mystery, part thriller, part philosophical inquiry, part volatile love affair, "Atlas Shrugged" is the book that confirmed Ayn Rand as one of the most popular novelist and most respected thinkers of the 20th century.

Every American should read this book

Although this book was written many years ago the delusion of socialism affecting the world today is exposed for how laughably ridiculous the policies are and the abuse of government and the tyranny of empowered bureaucrats that’s still exist today. Be ever vigilant, we must fight the unproductive freeloaders in our policies.… I love this book

  • The real bible

I have read countless reviews on this book saying it changed their lives. I think more accurately, if anything, it didn't change my life at all... it helped me to restore my original view of the world that I had before having it corrupted by others who spout religion, charity, and seritude to anyone but themselves. It also clearly defined where the actual 'good' and 'evil' is in this world... the producers, and the people that live off of the producers. A definite read for anyone with a brain that hasn't completely sold their soul yet to Christianity, or some other religion, or public service. This book is soul fuel, in the precise meaning of the words. Sincerely, Elmer J. Fudd, Millionaire

  • It should be a must read for everyone one who has never read it...... !!

The product being a book it was stated that it was in very good condition and it was !!!!! I already started reading the paperback and the type was quite small.....the book is easy to read now !! As far as subject matter of the book itself I greatly am enjoying it though it is somewhat troubling as our own country is sure headed sideways ............

  • Timeless

Pubbed in 1957, probably took her a decade to write. Tells the story, fictitious, (*cough cough*) of an American society slowly falling apart, mostly through government incompetence and malfeasance, after which said government sets out to "fix" these problems, through more incompetence and malfeasance. No matter when anyone has ever read in the last two-thirds of a century, they almost always are amazed that this wasn't written in the current time. It's quite a commitment; comfortably over 1,000 pages. Worth it.

  • Once Cautionary now Prophetic

AN apocryphal tale mean to be cautionary has become too true in today's American society. It now predicts the near future for America.
