Brilliant feed back and checking up. I found when trying to insert the new plug my pins which where loosely fitting in the old worn plug had to be very slightly lined up to the new plug. Did a trace pattern to check alignment found one to be slightly bent in the machine and pliers about 1 mm back into position. Bear in mind when replacing old worn plug into new pedal. Now fitted the new plug will start improving line up. The old plugs on these old singers are very sloppy fit.

Fitted and working well after a bit of adjustment of pins on my machine. Advice for anyone is to make a paper template of the new plug in part to the machine, then offer up to the connector on the machine, adjust pins accordingly (I tweeked with a pair of pliers) a great replacement for the old one 👍
