Like a good wine - improving with age
When I came to live in the UK, only a few years ago, Eddie Izzard was one of the first British comedians who I was "introduced" to. At the time, most of his political or UK related references went over my head, as did his attire, and I went on to explore other forms of comedy. The recent marathon documentary put him once again on my path, and the telly was generous enough to put on "Dressed to kill" - and I ended chasing down the rest of his DVDs. He is funny and witty in a completely unexpected way, and makes me rethink issues I always took as a given. What makes "Stripped" different? In this DVD, Eddie is stripped of his transvestite attire. It's just him and the stage, proving that he doesn't need props to be a genious. I particularly like the way he tackles religion - I was raised as a ... Great, A Reminder of Seeing the Show LIVE.....
After seeing the show Live in Brighton, I wanted to get the DVD as Eddie Izzard always alters/tweaks his shows a little from venue to venue essentially the same material but he puts a different slant on things maybe its the audience response that prompts him moving in a different direction or juggling things around, also I was just a tiny bit dissapointed with the show in Brighton, the audience where a bit flat, but the DVD is well worth it as there was some stuff he didn't do at all in Brighton so I pleased I'd bought it, he's a brilliant performer, and very funny, but I'm a little biased I suppose.After seeing the show Live in Brighton, I wanted to get the DVD as Eddie Izzard always alters/tweaks his shows a little from venue to venue essentially the same material but he puts a different slant on things maybe its the audience response that prompts him moving in a different direction or juggling things around, also I was just a tiny bit dissapointed with the show in Brighton, the audience where a bit flat, but the DVD is well worth it as there was some stuff he didn't do at all in Brighton so I pleased I'd bought it, he's a brilliant performer, and very funny, but I'm a little biased I suppose.

I was really dissapointed with this dvd. I'd seen Eddie Izzard only on tv recorded concerts and thought he was brilliant and thought I must get one of his dvd's. Whilst watching I kept thinking it must get better soon and so watched it to the very end. By that time I had lost the will to live. It was a terrible waste of time and just dont know where his humour has gone as it just was not funny and seemed very jumbled. Just glad I hadnt paid for a ticket to see him.I was really dissapointed with this dvd. Eddie Izzard - stripped is excellent
We have been a fan of Eddie's for years and to recently beable to see him live in Sheffield, AMAZING!!! we had front row tickets and it brought all the memories back. By having the DVD we can now relive his performance again and again.
