    Lots of detailed drawings & cutaways

    If you want detailed drawings of almost every aspect of the ship, including some interiors, this is the book. There are only 8 pages of photos, most supposedly never been seen before outside of Japan. The only color is on the dust jack (cover pages in case of the softcover issue). There is concise textual data, not just about the ship, but how to mix your own IJN colors according to IJN SOP. I think its worth it if you can get it for less than 30USD.

    Fantastic detail of one of the last Great Battleships - The Yamato

    This Book is the most in-depth, Cost balanced, book concerning the Yamato I've found. I'm a model builder/structural designer and desired a detailed guide to this great ship. The scaled drawings and sections are fantastic. I hope that more information will come to light from various sources about the Yamato in years to come as to assist in describing her revolutionary inner workings in great detail. Thank you Mr. Skulski & all that assisted you in writing about the last beautiful/greatest battleship.. willed into solid reality. If you like detail and love this ship, the Yamato...this book is for you.

    Yamato

    I Love this book. I have always been interesed in WW2 because my Dad was in it in Europe. I recently read a book about the Yamatos last voyage and it is amazing what a waste of a ship and the men on her. So I bought this book because I wanted to learn more about the ship. I would definatly recommend this book to anyone even remotly interesed in the Yamato.
