As a first-generation African American college graduate, I had very little knowledge of how to get started. Looking back at the notes I scribbled into its pages, I realize just how much of The Practical Handbook I have incorporated into my own teaching over the last 20 years. Margaret's books offered that practical guidance as well as how to see art making not just as a career, but a lifelong journey.--Edgar Arceneaux, Artist, Writer, Director and Professor, Margaret Lazzari's Practical Handbook for the Emerging Artist is a treasure trove of concrete advice and information about getting an art career going. Including interviews with important contemporary artists and a range of advice on personal (how to get yourself motivated and develop a practice) and professional (how to get others interested) issues, this is an invaluable handbook outlining the interfaces between the artist and the work, and the work and the world., As a first-generation African American college graduate, I had very little knowledge of how to get started. - e***n (390)- Feedback left by buyer.Past 6 monthsVerified purchaseGreat transaction, exactly as described, packed well, and promptly shipped on August 6th. Unfortunately the U.S. Postal Service took 23 calendar days to deliver the book. It was shipped from Pennsylvania, to Atlanta, past Alabama to Texas, enjoyed several days in Texas, then to Minneapolis, Jacksonville, Florida, back to Atlanta, finally to Birmingham, and Huntsville. The seller was very responsive and I decided it was interesting to see if/how the book would arrive. Thanks, Joe

Seller was able to bundle all three items together into one package. Items as described and arrived in perfect condition. Good communication around shipping and tracking as items delayed and not able to be delivered by original estimate. Thanks to shipping updates I was able to track the items arriving before the extended delivery time. Thank you for making these items available on EBay.
