Universal tool in own convenient container
Not that many of us (retired mechanic by trade) but still plenty of capable DIY’ers doing car clutches - this is a ‘must have’ as aligning centre plate to allow 1st motion shaft into flywheel bush is critical in allowing easy re-alignment of gearboxes. I worked on Renault for many years and holding a full g/box above your head (with diff included for FWD) then trust me you want stuff to line up quick and the box to go back onto alignment studs quickly - this tool is perfect for that. In the event you do have an oddity size that this set doesn’t cover just wrap insulation tape on /off until desired diameters obtained! Wasn’t useful for my application (VAG)
Non of the bushes were the right sizes for my VW 2.0 TSI clutch/flywheel which made the tool a complete waste of money for me. I ended up using a long reach socket instead. 3 stars because the kit was decent quality and good value and I could see it would work for some cars but probably not VAG group cars so be aware.
