I needn't have worried as I just had to put the batteries and it worked perfectly. It's a shame that the problem with my previous remote was just the on/off button which ceased to function whereas the rest of the buttons were working perfectly. Perhaps an option for places where it can be repaired maybe??

He responded very quickly and apologised and said he'll send another out immediately. He was true to his word, it arrived two days later, a brand new Genuine Phillips adjuster.
