Only slight improvement I can make is to mark out pin 1 in the adapter board as it is the other way around from the markings on the Gotek module. The instructions do say that you keep the ribbon cable the same way as per the old floppy drive but I did continuity check to confirm. The seller was very helpful and returned questions in a timely manor.
