    Refurbished item but excellent

    I bought this from a specialist refurbishment company. I would highly recommend because I received an item that was clean and looked new, save for a tiny cosmetic chip. The radio plays well, the sound is good and it is easy to use.

    Great Rado

    The sound is very good but not HiFi which is in line with this class if radio. It was bought as a kitchen radio to listen to R4 & Classic FM. It's performance and sound rivals radios that a much more expensive. Plenty of undistorted volume. The style and ergonomics are better than many more expensive radios. I use it to replace a radio which cost close to £100 and I prefer this one. It takes AA cells which may be disposable or rechargeable but the radio itself does not recharge. I have no idea who much listening time one set if cells would provide but I imagine about a day on reasonable volume. I have only used is with the supplied mains adapter which is a modern efficient design. I am very very satissfied with it.

    Good for rechargeable baterries and speech

    For my purposes the main things were to be able to use AA rechargeable batteries and to get clear sound for speech, which this does. It is a cheap radio and music is tinny and presets are a bit fiddly. However the base is relatively wide, there is a mains adapter, a clock, an alarm, and also a sleep button. Excellent value.

    Good value radio. Everything I needed.

    My DAB radio refused to update to DAB+ despite following the makers instructions. Time to look for another. Only use occasionally so not too expensive. Found this one. Good price, refurbished. Could not see any marks or signs of use. Good saving on new price. Does everything I wanted. Looks, sound and design are great.

    Good backup radio that is portable.

    Reasonably good radio with reasonably good reception most of the time. Volume and speaker quality could have been better. It seems that it may require a special audio jack plug to connect it to an external sound system and maintain/enhance sound quality. Good backup radio. Got to get some rechargeable batteries for it.
