Fine stranded core wire that seems just a touch smaller than factory piece (listed as 20 gauge on insulation & is not copper). 7 different colors of insulated wire used without any tracers. Plug seems pretty comparable in material. Overall seems like a decent piece but not the same as OEM (they don't advertise as such). Should still function the same and a good option if you need a replacement for the OEM. Smooth transaction and would buy from again.
