This is the best open source printer under £200, unlike other variant setups by other brands, this setup provides the greatest potential for modification, compatibility and support due to geetech creating its own control board standard which has such a giant userbase each with solution's to specific issues. I love the inclusion of the superbase buildplate which saved me paying out for one (which is what I was actually shopping for in the 1st place). Setup took me 35 minutes. Calibration took a little bit longer than I expected due to me disregarding the advice to check the vslot wheels for proper screwed in security so they were misaligned and I would have preferred a V6 hotend and more holes in the carriage plate for straight conversion to other type of setup such as my chimera but apart from needing to print some mount point parts for them this printer is worth more than the price. You couldn't get the parts cheaper and built to this quality individually Much better than my i3proBRead full review

Do not buy this product if you expect to unpack it and print amazing quality stuff right out of the box. This product is for the people that do want to get their hands dirty. It was very misaligned, miscalibrated and overall I think it would be better if they sold it just as a disassembled kit for you to put together. But if you (like me) do enjoy getting your hands dirty you can achieve pretty amazing print quality. You need to align it, calibrate it, potentially add some structural support for the Z axis and some other upgrades that you can mostly just print yourself. Oh and the nozzle cooler fan duct is rubbish. I suggest you print a new circular one as your very first print. Because it is blowing from just one side the plastic is not cooling uniformly and the air blow is skewing the print a little bit. There's plenty of those on thingiverse. I myself am very happy with the product. But beware, it definitely isn't a product for everybody. I attached some photos. The first one shows my full setup. I took off the spool from the top of the machine to lower the centre of mass and reduce vibrations. The spool stand I printed requires 4 ball bearings to work and I must say it works better than the one that comes with the machine. The second photo shows the Z axis strengthening bars I installed. The rest of the photos show some stuff I was able to print with this machine.Read full review

Wasn't enough filament to make the test piece but once I'd purchased some more it was a lovely piece of kit...the other half was convinced I'd spent more on it than I did. You do have to watch how you connect, would be better if each power able was labeled but with common sense it's easy to work out.

This is my first 3D printing. After minimal research I managed to fit it all together and get my first piece printing within an hour of unboxing. Very easy and straight forward, also community on the internet that helps others .
