Quite powerful - I have used it as a part of a photo triggering setup (the trigger is a Miops SMART+) the length of my pool - say 12.5 metres. I didn't have to set the laser sensor to maximum sensitivity, so the range could be as much as 20m. Power consumption seems reasonable - I left it clamped "on" for over one hour this morning without exhausting the two (rechargeable) AAA batteries. It's inconvenient that I have to to clamp the switch - it would have been useful to have the kind of "On/Off" toggle you get with a flashlight. I would suggest any other user who considers this as part of a laser trap wear polarised sunglasses when setting up the trap. It's a very bright light.

This laser exactly meets it's description, it produces an intense green spot that would probably be seen more than a kilometre away in darkness and certainly visible across a wide street (50m) onto the front of a white house that has direct sunlight onto it. When the spot lands on anything in the same room, it is so intense that I need to avert my eyes. I don't have the kit to measure the power of this laser, but note that it isn't marked as Class IIIR or Class IIIB, just marked as Class III, which is not a valid classification over here in the UK. If buying these to use as pointers, make sure everyone is wearing laser safety glasses, it is NOT eye safe. Real shame, this will be going in the bin.

Seems good. Very bright (brighter than I need for my project). Powered by two AAA cells, which should enable it to be used for much longer between battery changes than if powered by button cells. Sometimes a bit hesitant to give full brightness on first pressing on/off button, but seems to get over this hesitation in a few seconds. Caveat: I've hardly used it so far. [Note: the word is spelt "LASER"!]

In the description of this product it says it is 1 mW. I ordered it because I wanted a low power laser pointer. However I thought it looked very bright when using it, so I put some tape in front of the laser to dampen the intensity. Worked for 2-3 seconds then the laser had burned right through the tape..... 1 mW ? No I don't think so. But if you want a powerful laser pointer that works in full daylight outdoors, yes then it works fine. I intentionally did not buy it from China since they have a reputation of selling too powerful lasers, but I should have realised this laser was originally from China.

Good enough laser could probably get another one for a couple pound less. Over very long distance. Very Bright and Powerful. Sore on batteries but that doesn’t matter if u take them out and leave it beside the laser when not using it.😎
