    Lost in Space despite it's age still holds a certain magic. I started watching this series again after not seeing it for decades while looking for something I could watch with my Daughter that was NOT yet another cartoon but was certainly family friendly. In watching it my wife and I agreed that what is lacking in TV today is what was once refered to as "Family entertainment". Sure this 45 year old series is a bit dated and at times a bit hokey however, it has more intelligence than watching Yo Gabba Gabba for the 300th time and the acting is first rate. There were Giants in the Earth is considered one of the episodes that caught the attention of the viewers early in the series and helped establish it as a top show in season #1.
