Brilliant value, top quality.
This was sold at a ridiculously low price, so I wasn't expecting top quality. But I was very pleasantly surprised! Beautifully made and finished, it fits perfectly and securely, and has the necessary internal mechanism to open and close the lens diaphragm manually when in use (by turning the "Lock - Open" ring). Off the camera, Sony "A" lenses remain fully open, but you need to be able to stop down and this provides that option. There are no preset stops so you just have to gauge the aperture by eye, but when used on the NEX range of cameras, the metering takes care of the rest. Obviously, as there is no electronic linkage between lens and camera when using this adapter, all other functions (zoom and focus) have to be used in manual mode, too. Just like the good old days! "A" series lenses are available second-hand at much lower prices than "E" series, and with this inexpensive adapter you can expand your shooting possibilities at a fraction of the cost. Highly recommended!

badly fitting
All my lenses are wobbly. I have tried over 10 lenses on this adaptor, some original Sony, Some original Minolta nad a few M42 to A-mount and none of them fit tightly. The security pin has a rounded edge and will allow some lenses to release with pulling latch back. I would not recommend this item

Loose Fit
All the lenses I have tried with this adapter did not fit properly and wobbled. I have tried Sony A mounts and vintage Minolta lenses. I recently tried it with my Minolta beercan lens, took some shots in my garden and when I came back indoors, my lens fell off and landed on my carpet. The beercan is a heavy lens, had it fallen on concrete, it would have smashed. I assumed that the latch had failed, but in fact, the adapter itself had sheared in two and is now unusable. I cannot recommend this adapter.All the lenses I have tried with this adapter did not fit properly and wobbled. I have tried Sony A mounts and vintage Minolta lenses.
