    Fiskars mini axe

    I bought for wood carving for example carving wooden spoons out of sections of tree branch i have picked up in the woods I am very pleased with this tool and would recommend it for fine shaping of wood. It would not however be suitable to chop logs of a medium to large size as its very lightweight. I also sharpened mine and got a very sharp edge. So like most tools, very good for a narrow range of uses but not good as a general purpose axe, for producing say firewood.

    Very disappointed with the item ,would not recommend to anyone .

    The problem has not been the seller but the product itself I expected a sheath to make the axe use able while out camping ,it didn't which make the item useless unless you keep it by the fire . I used it for the first time after one week of owning it and the blade chipped in two places . The handle is poor so I had to but 3mtrs of paracord to make it more comfortable in the hand .

    Fiskars small hand axe

    It's that time of year when attention turns to feeding the log burner and was after a small axe to strip small branches from logs before cutting and this is perfect and saves a lot of arm ache over using a standard full size cutting axe. Sure, I could have bought a bill hook but wanted something small and light but very sharp and this fits the bill perfectly.

    Fiskars X5

    A great little axe for kindling and to keep around the house. When it is sharp I've even used it for shaving 4x2 when installing the bathroom! A quality Fiskars product to go with the rest of their tools.
