Director Peter Jackson's follow-up to his debut feature, the gross-out horror film BAD TASTE, is a scathing show-biz parody featuring a cast of foam rubber puppets. When we first meet our young hero, Robert the Hedgehog, he has just joined the Feebles (a Muppets-like musical theater troupe) as a member of the chorus. The group is busy preparing for its big live TV debut: "The Fabulous Feebles Variety Hour." If they do well and the ratings are high enough, they might get a syndicated series. Too bad that the show's host, Harry the Hare, is afflicted with venereal disease in its advanced stages, the smack-addled knife thrower is suffering from horrific withdrawal symptoms, and the star of the show, Heidi the Hippo, has developed a binge-eating problem after being dumped by the show's producer, Bletch, who, to top it all off, moonlights as a drug pusher. Poor Robert becomes a helpless witness to all sorts of perversions before events finally escalate out of control, culminating in a machine-gun shooting spree the likes of which are seldom seen in musical comedy. Of course, this sleazy puppet extravaganza is for adults only.

MEET THE FEEBLES is sometimes feeble!
I wanted to buy this movie because of the basic idea of the film. It is a puppet movie ,something akin to the muppets.THE MUPPETS ON CRACK!I also wanted to check it out because it was partially written and wholly directed by Peter Jackson of The Lord of the Rings Trilogy and King Kong fame.This was one of Mr. Jackson's early works, long before great special effects and obviously long before big budgets. This film is shameless and crude in its soap opera like portrayal of "puppet like" people putting on a show.(sound familiar?)It is even insinuated that one of the puppets has acquired a deadly sexually transmitted disease. As crude and shameless as it is, it is not without its very comic moments. But most of these moments rely on the parody and satire of puppets behaving in such a graphic ... Awful
This movie couldn't be any worse on every single level. It isn't entertaining, it isn't funny, there aren't any decent actors, the costumes are jokes, and script is awful. I love nearly every movie I see and I hate this one with a passion. I couldn't even finish it. It really is just one of the worst movies ever made and whomever made it should be tortured for doing so.

I haven't actually watched the movie yet so I can't say for sure if it plays or not, and I expected it to arrive a little sooner than it did, but I was satisfied overall and would definitely use this person again.
