About this product

Product Information

EA Playground is a recreation-themed title designed for casual gamers, featuring a total of nine activities played with child characters. Available on both Wii and DS, each version features a distinct lineup of games. DS owners can choose from the following touch-screen titles: Dodgeball, Hoops, Hopscotch, RC Racers, Bug Hunt, Kicks, Skate & Sketch, Spitballs, and Trampoline. Dodgeball moves from gymnasiums to dual screens, where characters fling a rubber ball to knock out members of rival teams. Hoops has characters flinging basketballs from different areas of a court, scoring a varying number of points based on a shot's distance or difficulty.

Kicks combines elements of soccer and volleyball, with characters using their feet instead of their hands to launch balls over a net and into a goal. Hopscotch closely follows the color- and sound-matching gameplay of Simon, while RC Racers has players steering toy cars from an overhead perspective. Bug Hunt is a race to scoop up butterflies, Spitballs involves blowing into the microphone to lob gobs of paper, and Trampoline is a balloon-popping jumping game. The last game in the collection, Skate & Sketch, has players connecting a series of dots with the stylus to perform skateboarding tricks on the half-pipe.

  • lots of fun

EA Playground is a game designed exclusively for the unique gameplay available only with Nintendo's Wii console and DS handheld platform. Each version will take advantage of the unique attributes of the systems to give gamers unique, multiplayer-enhanced experiences. Blow into the Nintendo DS mic to shoot spitballs and battle your friends and family in dodgeball -- every game brings its own twist to the controls for the ultimate, all-ages, party game! And if family and friends are not around, you can still have fun in EA Playground. Explore the world on your own as you enter different locations, unlocking new activities, making wacky in-game friends and collecting rewards and stickers to upgrade your abilities along the way

  • EA Playground is a fairly good game kids would enjoy.

EA Playground is a fairly good game but a little bit of a let down with a lack of games and a lack of graphics the way you move in the game is just a complete copy of pokemon ranger because to move is to move the stylus and that is how you move in pokemon ranger! This game is not that much recommended to buy because it is fun at the start but once you finish the game it gets soooo boring! In the game there are minigames that are played in the playground at school these minigames include; Dodgeball, RC car races, trampolines, hopscotch, soccer, bug catching, basketball (also known as hoops), skating and spitballs they are all the minigames you play throughout the main game the main part of this game is to collect these stickers and then earn the King of the playground sticker and then ...

  • Addictive fun for the family. . .

I was at a friends house with my family and my kids tried the Wii version of this game. I saw that they were having a blast with it so one day I was in EB Games and saw it for a decent price and bought it. I got to play it for about 90 minutes then my 7 year old took it over. When my wife, who is not a game player, saw it, and tried it, I was on my way to the store to buy a second copy of the game. This title is getting hard to find and I had to drive over 50 miles to get a second copy of it but my wife and son love the game. The game play is varied over several events and the skill level gets progressively harder. There are items to find so that you can get power ups (stickers unlock power ups) and do different moves in the various events. I would recommend this to all as those who ...

  • Great if you are familiar with playing with video games.

I bought this product for my godson, but I tried it out first. It is good that it has directions for how to play different games, but it doesn't give directions for how to find the gamers in the games. For a 1st grader, it will not be as fun, unless someone reads the directions that pop up on the screen. Probably it will be fine for him to play with once he understands the instructions.
