Good product for the money - but with one flaw.
Although I have given this product approval, I have only used it once to make a few cut strips of 18mm wood for a garden bench. I like it's power, its handling and the hinging guard lifts by itself when meeting the object to be cut, unlike my previous one. I also like the fact that the cutter/motor can be adjusted up/down relative to the baseplate to limit the depth of cut. My only problem was that the guard has a guide `fin' that protrudes down behind the cutting blade which, being only just narrower than the blade, tends to jam against the end of the item being cut when it does not always follow the cutter into it's cut slot. A bit disconcerting when the saw suddenly halts as you start a cut. It might be slightly bent but is necessarily thin and therefore flimsy. I will have to see how I ... Pros: Price, Cuts well, and the laser is a great option. Cons: the adjuster is a long plastic fitting, can see it breaking off at some point it's possibly not the straightest cutting tool due to price and quality. good? yes, but time will tell, but, so far it has served my purposes well.
