Coming just over a year after the unforeseen success of the PS2 launch title SSX, Electronic Arts' new EA Sports Big division delivers this revamped and refined version of the game for the Xbox. Players choose from a bevy of distinctive boarder characters to tackle both realistic and fantastic courses full of opportunities to show off. As in the original, this game follows the extreme sports convention of tricks and combinations for high scores that unlock new courses and improve characters.<br><br>Six characters from the original PlayStation 2 game return in this version, joined by six new characters. Two new courses have been added and the venues of the original have been redesigned for this release. Appropriately, several new tricks are available in SSX Tricky as well, including many that involve the character flipping or spinning away from his or her board in midair. Along with such improvements and enhancements, the dreamy environments and intuitive control system that won fans for the original are carefully retained in this second version of the game.

If I want a used one, I'll just go to local owners to find a much cheaper one. Not much to complain about the shipping though. Not the fastest, but still OK. Amazing old game!
I love how challenging this game is! It's really fun and fast paced too, nothing like todays games that hold your hand through everything. If your not careful or good at this game, the game is gonna have no mercy on you! My only complaint is that the game isn't any longer, I really would love to have more from this. The controls are a pain in the ass to learn but once you figure them out, their actually quite smooth and responsive, graphics are beautiful for the time, large open mountains with sweet sky boxes and lots of big air with some of the most crazy and well done tracks in any snowboarding game I have ever played. All the characters are pretty unique, ranges from a guy stuck in the 60s with an Afro to a psychotic metal head who spews hilarious lines all the time. I wouldn't ... One thing I love about this game is how you can tell someone exactly what to do and how to beat it or even use a strategy guide, but chances are they are still gonna have a hard time simply because the game is that well done, the only easy way through the game is to actually get good at the game.

Great Fun for the Whole Family too!
This game is definately worth reviewing, its one of the games you just don't hear about to much. We bought the game with the box a few years back, didn't play for months, and then pow!! We opened it up started playing, and can honestly say the game is addictive. Nice graphics and visualizations, lots of hard tricks to master, and characters to improve, customize and outfit. My wife and I became masters at this game, to the point where our two boys wanted in on the action, they stuill can't touch us. Worth a good hard look, or just buy it, you wont regret it.This game is definately worth reviewing, its one of the games you just don't hear about to much.
