Who is the man with the suit? Harvey Birdman, that's who, and he brings his cohorts from the witty Adult Swim comedy with him in Harvey Birdman: Attorney at Law. Published by Capcom, whose Phoenix Wright games have already introduced players to the world of video game courtroom drama, Harvey Birdman: Attorney at Law is an interactive story that takes gamers through five outlandish court cases. Birdman must investigate crime scenes to search for evidence, get help from Avenger, Peanut, and Birdgirl, interact with series mainstays like Phil Ken Sebben, Mentok the Mindtaker, and Peter Potamus, and square off against rival lawyers like Myron Reducto, Vulturo, and Stan Freezoid. The gameplay is fully animated and it features the vocal talents of most of the show's actors, with the notable exception of Stephen Colbert. Vignettes full of dialogue and sight gags are triggered as players successfully navigate various menus to help Birdman search for clues, travel to familiar show locations, and pick the proper questions and answers when addressing witnesses and the jury.

    Like Watching the Show

    The animation in the game is almost on par with the cancelled TV show the game came from. The game is split up into five parts or "episodes" and play out like cases in a Phoenix Wright game. The writing is sooooo funny! If you are a fan of the show you will like this game a lot.

    A little too short & no Stephen Colbert, but a solid game. More like 3.5 ☆s

    I write this review having recently beat the game, it's no that long or difficult. But that doesn't mean it's bad! Harvey Birdman the video game plays a lot like another law based video game(s), the Phoenix Wright series. A LOT. Perhaps that's because both games are made by Capcom, and are probably on the same platform/game construction/engine/whatever you want to call it. Beating the game took me about a week of off and on play, while also watching a few of the episodes from the TV show online. I enjoyed approaching this game casually. It would have took me an afternoon if I had gone after it in a more hardcore gamer mode. Game play is simple. Point and click. Watch video. Point and click some more.     As fun as your average court case

    I am a big Harvey Birdman fan (Bought all the DVDs) but the game have been a lot more fun. It has a few cut scenes featuring the original cast but most of the time is spent moving back and forth between 3 or so locations and then trying to pick the right clue to win the case. Often it is hard to figure out just which clue or person gets paired with which statement since they have to be done in a certain order... so it feels forced. This takes away a lot of the fun. If you guess wrong too often, the program ends and you have to reload from the last save point. Grade wise a C.

    Worth a play through

    Cool for fans of the show. Kinda' like a choose your own adventure game, where you get to make choices. Not a lot of replay value, but worth a rental or a buy and sell on eBay as I will do. Odd for Nintendo, not really a kids title, would say teen and up.

    birdly legal

    if you're familiar with the text adventure game based on the show from the adult swim website, you'll be prepared for the garden-of-forking-paths structure of this game made for the wii. while it is by no means wii-centric, it it enjoyable for its deductive reasoning challenges and classic harvey birdman animated gags.

More to explore:
