I asked for guidance but no reply. The best approach is to remove the piece with the scale first. Remove two screws to do this and manipulate the depth plunge in order to wriggle it free. Undo the thumbscrew. Insert the new component and re-assemble. Then replace the scale. Two pieces are supplied. I’ve no idea why as you only use one and they appear identical. Instructions would be useful.
