Upgrades an already excellent little torch
The standard Maglite two AA cell small torch is a high quality piece of kit which, in its original halogen bulb form was a useful, "small object of desire". However, modern LED bulb torches at little cost are often brighter and have extended battery life but lack any charm and in my experience can suffer switch failure or other nuisances all too frequently. By upgrading the halogen standard bulb with this slot in LED replacement the light output becomes vastly better: brighter, much more even and easily focused or widened with just a half turn or so of the torch head - much less twirling than originally. I can imagine that battery life is much better too - another Maglite I upgraded was already dim with older batteries but the new LED turned it just as bright as its newer brother. Brighter & Whiter AA Mini Maglite Beam
I like the ergonomics of the AA Mini Maglite torches a lot. They are also very reliable and robust. But compared to even much cheaper LED mini torches the light output looks rather dim and yellow these days. Even with fresh batteries. Here is a product well overdue an upgrade. You won't recognise your maglite after this 1W LED conversion! It's simply lots brighter and whiter. You make the upgrade with no tools, or mechanical expertise, and you do not have to modify the torch permanently. You could revert to the old-school bulb. But you won't want to! LED's draw a lot less current too, so it will go on longer. They do not appreciably dim as the batteries run down either. I believe they have phenomenal lifetimes as well, which makes the £10 UK price perfectly acceptable to me. All in all a ... I like the ergonomics of the AA Mini Maglite torches a lot. Quick easy upgrade
Replacing the bulb took seconds & the improvement was immediate. My batteries weren’t new so my old bulb was beginning to dim. The new led bulb uses so little power & is always at full brightness until the batteries are completely dead. It was an immediate improvement. A step change in technology. Plus I get to keep my trusty old mag light.

Easy to fit, great performance.
Very easy to fit and makes a big difference to the luminosity and battery life. It is great that the focusing function of the torch has been maintained. This low cost upgrade has extended the life of this torch as competition from cheaper and smaller Cree torches have as good if not better performance .

Absolutely Amazing upgrade for your old Mini MagLite
This is an excellent upgrade for your Mini Maglite that is probably looking a bit tired these days. I had fitted a different LED bulb that included a switch in the base into mine a while back - it was rubbish and the torch was consigned to the adds and sods draw . . ... Saw this upgrade bulb and thought it was worth a try as it is a simple bulb replacement, with everything else remaining the same. It really is a 10 second job to fit, remove top cap, pull out old bulb, and fit this one, re-fitt the cap and enjoy more light than ever! i was so pleased I bought two!This is an excellent upgrade for your Mini Maglite that is probably looking a bit tired these days.
