    Strong and quality built.

    This Wilton Vise is so much better than the cheaper, made in China, vises you see selling for around $40. There is no comparison in quality. The Wilton Vise have machined slides that makes for a tighter fit between mating parts. I purchased the cheaper vise and was not able to hold part tight enough to mill. I wound up getting the Milton Vise and been pleased with how sturdy it is when I use for milling.

    Older unit, USA built ?

    This used model vise is offered new, but this one is probably ten-fifteen years old and in good shape, it may be before Wilton was built out of country, seems to be built well and have some precision. I don't know if the newer units of the same model are built quite as well but they're probably one of the best of the reasonable priced cross cuts on E-bay. If you can find an older used vise they are usually built much better, most of this crap will get your job done but its JUNK. If you use it regularly spend the money for a quality vise..

    Tight vise

    There's is no slop in this vise as you will find in many others. This vise is awesome! I use it for holding gun parts while I drill and mill them. It is excellent for this. Would definitely recommend.

    Buy the largest one you can afford, You will not be sorry!

    What can you say about Vintage WILSON, that their products don't Show. I worked in a tool shop for over 37 years, and these Wilton vices are better than 99% of the Vises I used in/as a hands on Tool & Die Maker. the only way it could be better, is if I had bought the Larger/Largest New one they were selling, Honestly!
