Don't hesitate - works really well
I bought this for my 82-year old Dad who has started to struggle to get on and off the toilet. I did quite a lot of research on the options including raised toilet seats and the different types of frame available. I decided upon a frame because the raised toilet seats seemed a little prone to instability. I decided upon this type of frame because is didn't require removing the toilet seat allowing him to carry on using the existing seat and seat lid. I also liked the idea that I could make it wider and narrower so he could decide what helped him the most (we did adjust it to suit his needs). Finally, I wanted the arms on which he would lean to be fixed directly to the frame so that there would be absolutely no movement when he put his considerable weight on them (some of the frames have ... Any issues? a) The clip that allows the frame to extend needs to be pulled out completely rather than rotated (not very clear at first and thought I might break it). b) Disposing of the rather large cardboard box it arrived in (he says laughingly).

Practical with good features
This standing Toilet frame was excellent. It allows those with difficulties in rising from the toilet the means to rise by enabling them to grip the frame either side which allows them push up thus removing pressure on their legs or knees. Easy to recommend.

Sturdy frame
I can't really rate this for it's intended purpose. I bought it as a decorating aid. I needed to access a window above the toilet. I was not happy to stand on the toilet. With a short piece of wood resting on the frame I was able to get to the window. The frame is very sturdy and comes apart reasonably well for storage ready to use next time.
