Basia kicks butt
For those fans of Basia and her unique blend of styles mixed with her highly personal lyrics, The Sweetest Illusion illustrated the progress of this slick and soulful lady's work. As it was her final album for nearly fourteen years (new release 2009), it meant a great deal to her listeners. The performances are flawless, the poetry highly emotional, and every song a delight. An Olive Tree is so intense that one forgets this is a studio album. In the mix of 90's music, Basia was a bright and fresh sound.For those fans of Basia and her unique blend of styles mixed with her highly personal lyrics, The Sweetest Illusion illustrated the progress of this slick and soulful lady's work. The Sweetest Illusion - Basia (CD 1994)
I loved "Time and Tide" and "London,Warsaw,New York", and this is almost better! Be sure you add this one to your collection. Basia has a unique sound, and she stays true to it, with this offering.
